Welcome to Reigate and Redhill Woodcraft Folk

Our Activities

Redhill and Reigate Woodcraft Folk are a local youth movement for people who want to be part of building a better world.

Our group gives children the chance to try new things, make friends and learn about big ideas. Our week-night activities vary every week and can include craft, cooking, drama, singing, walking, litter picking, debating and games. Our aim is to have great fun, but also to try to develop children’s self-confidence and build their awareness of nature and society around them.

We hold camps or stay in hostels several times a year.  Some camps are held locally and others further afield.

Through our activities, outings and camps we help our members to build new skills and knowledge, such as:

· understanding the environment, world debt and global conflict.

· encouraging children to think, hoping that they will help build a peaceful, fairer world.

Our group is run by volunteers, and we seek to ensure that all our weekly activities, camps and residentials are affordable and inclusive for all.

Our activities may involve some risk such as being outdoors, making fires and cooking. Taking responsibility yet having some freedom is important to our ethos. We endeavour to adequately supervise the children and offer guidelines for them to follow for these activities.

You can see photos of some of the activities we do on our Facebook page.  There is a link below.
